Updated! The latest on the Meals for Truck Drivers BC food truck pilot at commercial cardlocks.

BCTA is extremely pleased to share that companies continue to step up with sponsorship offers for the food trucks we’ve placed in partnership with Parkland Fuel/Chevron at card locks in Chilliwack, Kelowna, Kamloops and Prince George.  We have also been getting queries from other food truck operators, as well as restaurants with truck parking or near truck stops that are making take out and washrooms available.

The best way to stay updated is to like and follow Meals for Truck Drivers BC on Facebook – @feedatrucker. Please share on your social accounts too, with thanks.

Where complimentary meals are available (check for details on chalkboards & signage at each location), truck drivers just need to show a CDL when ordering at food trucks at the following Chevron card locks:

  • Chilliwack on Yale Road, from the Lickman highway exit: Dutchlicious food truck serving breakfast (pannenkoeks!), lunch and dinner, 7 am to 5 pm.
  • Kamloops on Versatile Drive: Cookshack Cravings,  Wed to Sat, adding days & hours as staffing and demand warrants.
  • Kelowna on Acland Road at Edwards (just off Hwy 97): Surfside California Tacos, Mon-Fri, 9 am to 6 pm.
  • Prince George on Great Street: Smokey J’s Smoked MMMeats on site to Fri from 11 am to 7 pm.

Thank you to Parkland Fuel and the generous companies and individuals sponsoring meals for truck drivers.  Meals for Truck Drivers BC was intended to make good food easily available at truck stops for truck drivers to purchase when restaurants had to shutdown or go to take-out only.  We have been so cheered by the immediate, spontaneous and ongoing offers of sponsorship for truck drivers and this project.  We ❤️ trucking.
